Where do I even start with my friends Jacqueline & David? Crafting this film was one of the more challenging tasks I think we’ve taken on at KEJ. This story spans the course of three Octobers – 2019 for their engagement, 2020 for their intimate ceremony, and 2021 for their postponed celebration. Since 2019 we have shared dinners and wine, Catan game nights and laughs and as their celebration came to a close last October I wondered how on earth do we encapsulate this journey in a 10 minute film. It was somewhere in the middle of the story process when Kaleb said “Hey, why don’t we part this into chapters?” and while we have considered that idea before, it only made sense for Jacqueline & David’s story. There’s no one else we could have used this idea for and I dare say no one else after.
When you watch this film you’ll think to yourself “Wow, they seem kind and compassionate and genuine, fun and funny” and friends, they are all those things and more. We met Jacqueline & David on a Facetime before they were engaged and when David proposed to Jacqueline we celebrated as if they were old friends.
When i think of couples that will do good I think of Jacqueline and David. They will do good individually but especially together. They will do good in their community but especially in the world. There’s so much more I can say about these two and how much we treasure them but I think it’s more appropriately said through this film by those that know them best.
